I am a PhD student in the field of educational science and my research interest is teacher cooperation and autonomi in the biology subject. Cooperation between teachers have the potential to increase the quality of education and improve working conditions for teachers, especially when combined with high individual autonomy. I aim to investigate possibilities for and need of cooperation between biology teachers and how cooperation between teachers is valued in comparison to other types of professional development strategies. I am also interested in the effect of autonomy on attitudes to cooperation between biology teachers and comparison between school systems with differences in level of detail in the syllabus, and with presence or absence of external exams.
