About us
Welcome to the Department of Educational Science!
Here, subject teachers specializing in grades 7-9 and upper secondary school are trained. We also conduct interdisciplinary research in educational science to contribute to the development of knowledge within the teaching profession.
Within the department, there is also the AHU, the Division for higher educational development. Here, courses in higher education pedagogical development are offered for those who teach and supervise students at Lund University. Additionally, the department actively participates in research related to higher education.

How can teaching be developed with a long-term focus on quality? In a new article, Katarina Mårtensson highlights the need to view teaching as a shared and scholarly endeavour. The article explores how collegial dialogue, organisational structures and educational development must be aligned to achieve meaningful and lasting impact.
