Obtaining Psychological Spaces with MDS - a pilot study with Perceptual stimuli

The main purpose of this paper is to describe how a psychologically motivated conceptual space can be obtainded with MDS (Multidimensional scaling) and how it can be expressed in terms of a more primitive "physical" (or mathematical) one. The idea is demonstrated practically with the aid of two experimental pilot studies. The paper is concluded by a critical discussion of the method used

A Class-AB 1.65GHz-2GHz Broadband CMOS Medium Power Amplifier

In this paper a single stage broadband CMOS RF power amplifier is presented. The power amplifier is fabricated in a 0:25¹m CMOS process. Measurements with a 2:5V supply voltage show an output power of 18:5 dBm with an associated PAE of 16% at the 1-dB compression point. The measured gain is 5.1 § 0:5 dB from 1.65 to 2 GHz. Simulated and measured results agree reasonably well.

Checking Pipelined Distributed and Global Properties at Post-silicon Debug

Ensuring that software executes correctly on the silicon of a multi-processor system-on-chip (MPSOC) is difficult as it requires checking of global properties that are distributed on the chip. Different to our previous work where only one token was considered, we address in this paper pipelined tokens and we discuss the scalability of the debug architecture.

Impregnation of Leaf Tissues and its Consequences on Metabolism and Freezing; Study on Vacuum Impregnation and Pulsed Electric Field Treatment

Popular Abstract in English Freezing is a commonly used method of preserving food products including fruits and vegetables. A fresh-like texture and appealing visual appearance of frozen and thawed plant food products are of key importance for customer acceptance. Therefore, the food industry is constantly looking for ways to improve freezing techniques, especially for sensitive plant tissues suchFreezing is a widely used method of preserving food products. Efforts are currently being directed towards improving the quality of the sensitive tissues of plant foods such as leaves, after freezing and thawing. One of the methods under investigation is the combination of vacuum impregnation (VI) with cryoprotectants and the application of a pulsed electric field (PEF) to the plant tissue prior t
